Shipco Transport Inc., a leading international cargo transportation company, has an immediate opening at our ATL branch located in College Park, GA for an experienced Ocean Export LCL Coordinator.
We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, dynamic, highly motivated, reliable, and who understands and appreciates the importance of a team effort. The candidate should also possess the ability to 'think outside the box', and think and work outside their local market, and be aware of various time zones and regional norms for all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customer requests for assistance in bookings, quotes, pickups, and general transportation-related questions.
  • Ensure Inland Pickups are followed through, and Inland Transportation agreements are met.
  • Reach out to overseas offices and agents for hazardous and other required approvals.
  • Troubleshooting between customers and Shipco/Agent offices.
  • Ensure that shipments processed comply with the laws and regulations governing the US Export Industry
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in LCL ocean export customer service and/or operations is required, preferably from a NVOCC background, but a candidate with VOCC or freight forwarder experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of export customer service and/or operations.
  • Strong data entry skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and an aptitude for a fast-paced, multi-tasking, customer service-minded environment.
  • Resourceful and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Relies on pre-established guidelines.
