Description:
The Occupational Therapy Director is responsible for the clinical oversight of the Occupational Therapy Department staff.
The Director oversees and coordinates the clinical education and competency process for the Occupational Therapy staff.
This includes direct supervision of certified Occupational Therapy assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians.
The Director ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and professional standards.
The role includes oversight of Occupational Therapy policy and procedure manual addressing scope of care, evaluation/treatment standards, discharge planning, and documentation.
The Director evaluates and treats patients 80% of the time.
The remaining 20% of the time is spent on assisting with program development and other administrative tasks, as assigned.
The employee will function in accordance with their State Practice Act.
