Job description

Software Obsolescence Analyst

The selected candidate will join the Software Obsolescence team, and in that role, will contribute to analyzing and optimizing the Software Obsolescence Roadmap for the Orion program. The selected candidate will collaborate with key program stakeholders to jointly identify software updates approaching End-of-Life or End-of-Support and proactively address Orion Software Obsolescence. The candidate will develop replacement plans and mitigation strategies to minimize business disruption.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze the program's Software Baseline Matrix and identify End-of-Life and End-of-Support plans for software items.
  • Identify opportunities to refine and maintain the Software Obsolescence Roadmap.
  • Maintain a database of Roadmap end items.
  • Develop and recommend strategies for cost avoidance with respect to obsolescence upgrades.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of obsolescence management principles and practices.
  • Experience in human spaceflight, with a focus on software development and integration.
  • Experience with IT, including system software, security software, and asset management.
  • Experience with relational database management.
  • Experience with Dev Ops.
