OB Surgical Tech,Labor and Delivery Unit

About Labor and Delivery:Labor and Delivery is a high risk specialized unit that provides care to pregnant individuals prior to and during labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period. This unit has 17 private birthing suites, 5 Triage/PACU beds, 4 OR Rooms, 3 bed Obstetric Emergency Department care, and a specialized Antepartum unit that provides care for women with high-risk pregnancies and post-partum diagnoses needing supportive care.

Shift:Full-time, Nights

Job Description:

-Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse.

-Performs scrub functions and other roles, which support the perioperative plan of care.

-Assures the provision of comfort, safety and quality perioperative care for the patient.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:

-High School/GED

-Successful completion of a program of Surgical Technician

-Work experience and successful credentialing may be considered in lieu of formal program.

-Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.

-BCLS within 30 days of hire
