Where You'll Work
The Labor and Delivery department at St. Francis Hospital, an established Magnetยฎ hospital, is a unit with ten high-risk antepartum beds and 12 LDR suites, with 250 deliveries per month. We have two ORs, a three-bay PACU and a seven- bed OB Emergency Department. Our department has a mission to ensure the families of Southern Colorado have the safest care while delivering their babies. We offer self-scheduling and great teamwork. We look for candidates that have high energy, passionate for women's care, team players, hard workers and compassionate.

Join our team as an OB Surgical Tech! As an OB Surgical Tech you will:
  • Assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit.
  • Assist with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice.
  • Function as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit.
  • Assist with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment.
  • Perform clerical and business support tasks as assigned.
  • Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

The schedule is 0600-1830 varied days, weekends and call is required.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
  • Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Completion of a Surgical Tech program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Current Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration for associates working in Colorado
  • One-year surgical tech experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills
