Monday to Friday Mon/Wed/Th/Fri - 7:30AM-5PM

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic OB/GYN team at the Methodist Hospital Specialty Clinic. This is a great opportunity for nurses who are passionate about women’s health and dedicated to providing patient-centered care across the lifespan. Whether you bring prior experience in obstetrics and gynecology or are looking to expand your clinical knowledge in this specialty, we welcome your application.

In this role, you will help triage and assess patient needs, coordinate care, and support patients through a variety of reproductive and gynecologic health concerns. You’ll work closely with experienced OB/GYN providers and healthcare professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Patient Assessment & Triage
• Evaluate incoming patient phone calls to determine the urgency of symptoms and appropriate next steps (e.g., pregnancy-related concerns, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding).
• Provide telephone triage and guide patients to the appropriate level of care, including prenatal visits, urgent evaluation, or emergency services.

Care Coordination
• Assist in coordinating urgent and routine care for patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs (e.g., early pregnancy complications, postpartum concerns, infections, contraceptive management).
• Communicate effectively with OB/GYN providers and clinical team members to ensure timely, safe, and coordinated care.

Patient & Family Education
• Educate patients and families on pregnancy, postpartum care, reproductive health, preventive screenings, and treatment plans.
• Provide guidance on medications, prenatal care, contraception options, and recovery expectations.
• Offer ongoing emotional support and resources tailored to each patient’s stage of care.

Clinical Documentation & Follow-Up
• Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Monitor patient progress, lab results, and imaging, and coordinate follow-up care to ensure continuity and positive outcomes.


  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
  • Experience: All levels of RN experience will be considered. Prior experience in neurology or specialty care is a plus, but not required.
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
