Job Title: After-School Program Coordinator Middle Schools
Reports To: Program Director
Employment Type: Contracted Position
Compensation: $5,000 annually, paid in two installments of $2,500 (biannually)
Position Summary: The After-School Program Coordinator works under the direction of the Program Director to assist in the planning, coordination, and oversight of after-school program activities. This position collaborates with school coordinators, staff, families, and community partners to ensure high-quality enrichment, field trips, and support services. The coordinator supports program operations, including staff training, compliance requirements, meal service monitoring, community outreach, and data collection/reporting to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Teacher (*Current employees preferred)
  • Experience working in after-school, youth development, or education programs (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of child nutrition program requirements and experience with data collection/reporting is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Program Coordination & Scheduling
      • Work with the Program Director and school coordinators to plan and implement engaging after-school enrichment activities.
      • Schedule and coordinate field trips, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively.
      • Support the Program Director in overseeing daily program operations to ensure safety, quality, and consistency.
  • Meal Service Oversight
    • Monitor and evaluate meal service in collaboration with the Program Director to ensure compliance with program requirements.
    • Support staff in maintaining safe food handling practices and accurate documentation.
  • Staff Development & Training
    • Assist the Program Director in scheduling, planning, and leading staff training sessions.
    • Monitor and ensure staff completion of required Civil Rights training.
  • Community Outreach & Partnerships
    • Identify and cultivate new community partnerships to expand enrichment opportunities.
    • Strengthen relationships with families and community stakeholders to promote program participation.
  • Program Reporting & Compliance
    • Work with the Program Director to support program reporting and data collection to meet local, state, and federal requirements.
    • Track program outcomes and provide input for continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain compliance with all organizational and regulatory policies.

Work Conditions:
  • Contracted position with flexible scheduling.
  • Some evening responsibilities may be required.
  • Travel required for meal monitoring, training, and community outreach.
