What is a nursery assistant?

Nursery Assistants are professionals who support the care and development of young children, typically from birth to five years old, in nursery or childcare settings. Nursery Assistants work under the supervision of nursery nurses or managers and play a vital role in fostering children’s social, emotional, and educational growth.

Patience, strong communication, and a nurturing attitude help build trust and positive relationships with children and colleagues. These skills and qualities are essential for creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that promotes healthy growth and learning.
