Quality Assurance Job Description
Oversee the Quality Assurance program for Oakland Home Care' must be able to:
• Collect and organize QA information and procedures
• Knowledgeable of ICD-10 coding
• Analyze QA data, research and develop solutions to issues and problems as they arise
• Coordinate with management team to ensure systems and procedures are functioning properly and meet regulatory and quality standards
• Review all forms and reports, recommend and implement any necessary changes or improvements
• Implement and monitor processes to evaluate safety, risk management, infection control, and competency programs
• Coordinate OHC's quarterly clinical record review activities-QAPI
• Review records of active and closed patients to assure compliance with Medicare requirements - prepare written summaries and recommendations
• Works closely with clinical staff to assure documentation is complete, accurate, and reflects delivery and legal requirements
• Monitors utilization of services, client concerns, and risk management programs
• Works with management staff to follow up on expressed concerns of clients, families, employees, referral sources, and physicians
• Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and OHC staff
• Performs job in compliance with OHC policies and procedures and professional / community standards

-Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care administration, or equivalent program
-Preferred QA licensing and coding experience
-Preferred HCHB EMR experience
-Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a home care environment/QA
-Demonstrated knowledge of Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance Programs
-Knowledge of regulatory requirements for home care, including OASIS data collection and reporting requirements, as well as Home Care Value Based Purchasing, expectations for Medicare Certified Agencies
-Ability to work under minimal supervision
-Experience in research, analysis, and report preparation
-Ability to solve complex problems using experience, knowledge, and reasoning
-Work both as a part of a team and independently
-Part-time/ or hourly position
