The Role: Associate Restaurant Opening Manager. (Remote role with 90% travel)


TheAssociateRestaurant Opening Managerispassionate about providing amazing training during new restaurant openings. Anideal candidate is highly engaging and knows how to build relationships withothers. The Restaurant Opening Manager is a CAVA training expert and has athorough understanding of all operational tools and training materials.The candidate will be motivated by developing others and have a track record ofsuccess with new restaurant openings. Successful candidates will bestrong team players but also able to work independently.

What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for recruiting of local NRO Trainers with a focus on developing and retaining CAVA team members
  • Responsible for Pre/Post-Opening Budget including; NRO Team T&E expenses, Pre-Opening Labor, Pre/Post-Opening COGs
  • Responsible for NRO Leads performance development and performance management.
  • Validate training of assigned openings leadership teams (GM, GEM, and CL) with weekly check-in calls and validation of training completion.
  • Lead NRO Bootcamps as needed to support new restaurant openings.
  • Support at new restaurant openings as needed.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as directed that support the conversion and new restaurant opening process with a focus on streamlining RO Training processes partnering with L&D, localizing Restaurant Opening Trainers and Leads, Reduction of NRO Training Timeline with a focus of training efficiency and cost savings
  • Provide support to the restaurant openings project manager to ensure all punch list tasks are completed by development by their specified due date. Coordinate with relevant partners to ensure this is completed.
  • Partners with all support center departments to ensure openings are successful
  • Lead conference calls with the GM to assist in hiring and recruiting for the restaurant
  • Partners with GM in writing the training and opening weekend schedules.
  • Attend weekly calls with NRO team and provide status updates on each restaurant project


The Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a General Manager or equivalent
  • Substantial experience with new restaurant openings
  • Highly organized and able to track multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (excel, word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with recruiting and hiring
  • Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks and follow up on execution
  • Takes ownership of each project and partners with others to find a solution to every problem

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
