We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Supplier Quality Engineer, in our Raw Materials Supplier Quality Team supporting structural castings commodity. As one of the supplier quality engineering product center teams, focused on machined and fabricated parts you will provide support to the Supply Chain Quality Engineering Group, as well as providing quality interface, expertise and support to suppliers and peer organizations.
What You Will Do:
  • Working with suppliers to help them meet P&W quality requirements.
  • Create and maintain key relationships with Suppliers' Quality and Operations Management teams, as well as PW Engineering, Procurement, and support organizations to resolve production challenges in a high paced environment. Manage supplier Vendor Corrective Action Board (VCAB).
  • Conduct data analysis in PW QLIK dashboards and SAP to collect and analyze data to implement process and design changes at suppliers to improve their quality and productivity.
  • Engage with Supplier Quality Assurance Rep (SQAR), NPI focal points and visit domestic and international suppliers to improve overall quality signature of supplier.
  • Escape Management Support to Investigation Managers in Quality Clinic. Collect/Compile data and drive Continuous improvement initiatives at the Supplier in reaction to escapes, and in support of reduced. cost and lead-time. Hold Suppliers accountable for root cause and corrective actions and implement sustainable corrective / preventive action on all escapes/issues.
  • Team with Engineering and Procurement to execute proactive supply base improvement plans that improve Quality signature and to ensure customer confidence.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • BS in engineering, Quality, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience working in RCCA tools such as 8D & 5-Whys, PFMEAs, PPAP, Gage R&R.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with castings is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in manufacturing and quality environment. Knowledgeable / experienced in AS9100 / ISO 9001 Quality systems.
  • Proficiency/expertise in Quality tools such as 8D, RCCA, PFMEA, GD&T and PPAP.
  • Able to react quickly to resolve issues and collaborate cross-functionally for results.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
