Job Description Summary This Individual is a strong contributing member to provide overall site sourcing support to assigned product lines and execute defined metrics, for both NPI (New Product Introduction) and mass production items Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Represent Sourcing during scheduled functional reviews and prepare Sourcing Review templates for leadership Business Reviews for NPI programs Engage with Supplier Quality Engineers to drive a robust process on Supplier Selection, Supplier qualification and monitor Supplier Performance KPIs to develop supply base ability to deliver value Work effectively with technology, supplier quality, site materials and supply chain personnel on day-to-day problem resolutions, engineering change process and improvement opportunities Lead assigned sourcing initiatives and developed sourcing strategy to drive product lines deflation, sole source elimination, supplier early engagement, supplier on time delivery, supplier MOQ/lead-time reduction/VMI programs. Partner with key commodity sourcing leaders to align sourcing strategy, initiatives and leverage volumes globally and regionally Engage the business leadership team to develop sourcing programs / processes Conduct qualification & competitive analysis of vendor products / services Develop, plan, and manage programs to meet GE purchasing commitments in Sourcing Manage the complete purchasing and contracts (MSA, NDA and Bailments) Required Qualifications BA/BS degree (Engineering or Business preferred) Minimum 5 years Sourcing / Procurement Supplier Management experience in a major industrial environment Ability to collaborate with remote team across time zones Knowledge/expertise of Grid Automation product lines, electronic components and mechanical assemblies Interpretation of purchasing contracts, industry standards, regulatory requirement documents Desired Characteristics Proven change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and problem-solving skills Solid oral/written communication and influencing skills Project management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Expertise with negotiations and related analytical skills Strong computer skills (Outlook, Windows, Excel) Leadership skills and ability to direct a cross functional team Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily Highly motivated, self-directed and self-sufficient Purchasing system / Oracle or SAP experience For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between 88,900.00 and 112,000.00 CAD.
