Department OverviewSupply Chain New Product Introduction: manages the launch of New Products into various global manufacturing sites and distribution centers, with an emphasis on Communication Infrastructure products.
This is accomplished by working closely with our product development engineering and manufacturing partners to follow the MSI Product Lifecycle Launch Process and achieve the most efficient process capabilities possible.
Job Description

This program manager role requires managing and coordinating all activities of the new productions from the initiation phase through production launch of the product into multiple manufacturing sites. New product PMs work with cross-functional teams within the Supply Chain, Procurement, Development Engineering as well as external manufacturing vendors.

  • Possess or develop Supply Chain subject matter expert level knowledge and become the established "go-to" contact for New Product Introduction activities to help identify, evaluate and deploy solutions that are cost effective and meet engineering and business requirements and goals
  • Organize programs and activities in accordance with the global Supply Chain guidelines and criteria
  • Develop schedules and budgets to support the strategic direction of Supply Chain goals.
  • Utilize project management methodologies and tools to drive execution, accountability and risk mitigation; achieve Schedule, Cost, and Quality objectives from inception through launch
  • Demonstrates best practices for developing schedules and recognizes critical path
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, define resources, and required budget
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle
  • Present program status as required to Directors and Sr. Directors within Supply Chain
  • Focus on continuity of Supply Chain issues that impact both production and new product introduction.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved

Qualifications:

  • Ability to handle multiple programs simultaneously within a matrix organization
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of different products and fulfillment models.
  • Ability to summarize and clearly communicate project status, complex or technical risks/issues, and team recommendations for work partners as well as senior leaders
  • Flexibility in work hours and willingness to travel up to 25%
  • PMP certification preferred

Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

  • Bachelors (BS) degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing)
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a mid to high volume manufacturing environment for both device and SMT assembly, Hardware Development, Supply Chain Process Engineering, or Program Management
