We are a high-volume, fast-paced surgical practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes through innovation, collaboration, and compassionate care.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Practitioner Manager to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight across multiple outpatient vascular surgery centers and ambulatory surgery centers throughout Maryland and Virginia.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner Manager serves as both a clinical provider and operational leader across multiple sites. This role is responsible for providing advanced practice patient care, supporting vascular and endovascular procedures, overseeing clinical workflows, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
The NP Manager will collaborate closely with vascular surgeons, interventional specialists, registered nurses, medical assistants, ultrasound technologists, and administrative leaders to ensure exceptional patient care, operational efficiency, and consistent clinical excellence across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
· Serve as the lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) across multiple ambulatory surgery centers and outpatient vascular clinics.
· Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, histories, and physical examinations.
· Diagnose and manage vascular and cardiovascular conditions including:
o Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
o Chronic venous insufficiency
o Carotid artery disease
o Aneurysmal disease
o Wound and limb salvage patients
o Hypertension and cardiovascular risk factors
· Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing including:
o Laboratory studies
o EKGs
o Vascular ultrasound studies
o CTA/MRA imaging
o ABI and arterial studies
· Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with vascular surgeons and physicians.
· Provide pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and follow-up care.
· Assist with vascular and endovascular procedures including angiograms, interventions, venous procedures, and office-based vascular treatments.
Operational & Leadership Responsibilities
· Oversee clinical staff workflow and patient throughput across multiple sites.
· Lead and mentor Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and clinical support staff.
· Ensure compliance with:
o Clinical protocols
o HIPAA regulations
o AAAHC/ASC accreditation standards
o Infection prevention and patient safety initiatives
· Collaborate with leadership to establish and monitor clinical quality metrics and performance goals.
· Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluating clinical personnel.
· Develop and implement standardized clinical workflows and best practices across all locations.
· Participate in strategic planning, provider meetings, and interdisciplinary case reviews.
Patient Care & Quality Improvement
· Promote evidence-based vascular and cardiovascular care.
· Support quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
· Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system (Athena EMR preferred).
· Monitor patient safety, quality indicators, and regulatory compliance.
· Serve as a clinical resource and escalation point for staff and providers.
Qualifications
Required
· Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
· Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Maryland.
· Current Virginia license or willingness to obtain.
· National Board Certification as:
o Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC/FNP-C)
o Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP)
o Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
· DEA registration with prescriptive authority.
· BLS and ACLS certification.
· Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including:
o Vascular surgery
o Interventional radiology (IR)
o Cardiology
o Cath lab
o Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
o Interventional or procedural specialties
· Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Preferred
· Multi-site healthcare leadership experience.
· Experience in outpatient vascular surgery or office-based labs (OBL).
· Familiarity with ASC accreditation standards and quality programs.
· Experience with Athena EMR.
· Strong knowledge of perioperative workflows and vascular patient care protocols.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range
$120,000 – $160,000 annually
(Based on experience, certifications, leadership background, and vascular/ASC expertise.)
