Job description

Overview

The Nurse Practitioner Manager provides a full range of clinical services while overseeing the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program and managing nurse practitioners and physician assistants. They conduct chronic care clinics, infirmary rounds, and ensure documentation meets required standards. The role includes coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical practices, and implementing clinical policies. They collaborate with site medical and administrative leaders to maintain quality care and compliance. This position may also require participation in audits and committee activities.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program and clinical provider scheduling

  • Conduct patient care activities including chronic care clinics and infirmary rounds

  • Ensure proper medical documentation and adherence to formulary and treatment guidelines

  • Review clinical practices and participate in committees and best practice projects

  • Implement and update clinical policies, collaborating with medical and administrative teams


Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold an advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state
