Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Administer client medications and documents accordingly.
  • Maintain current knowledge of house and client activities.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, discharge drop-offs, etc.
  • Ensure all passengers in the vehicle are compliant, safe, and non-volatile.
  • Plan work tasks to coincide with programming requirements.
  • Set priorities in monitoring clients, making house rounds, documentation of pertinent information and completion of other assignments.
  • Highly dependable and can be counted on to work independently, having the ability to work with little direction.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of program philosophy and policies and procedures, 245G requirements, house operations, including client rights and confidentiality.
  • Assist counselors with intake/admission procedures, orientation of new clients and co-workers.
  • Encourage clients to achieve their goals by functioning as a positive role model.
  • Participate in client recreational activities with a positive attitude.
  • Serve as a resource for clients through knowledge of services and opportunities in the community.
  • Documentation of client information in the communications log and completion of other forms.
  • Objectively document client related topics in client files and communication logs.
  • Be diplomatic and exhibiting sensitivity toward other staff and client's feelings, needs, values, and opinions.
  • Complete clerical assignments such as faxing, copying programming materials, stocking packets/forms, typing documents in Word and updating Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assist in food preparation, and household cleaning duties as needed.
  • Adhere to attendance and absence policies.
  • Punctual in reporting for work and shift change reports.
  • Participate in rotational and/or off-shift schedules, including a holiday rotation schedule, as applicable.
  • Able to work additional hours/off-shift as needed.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or attain within 30 days of employment
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Knowledge of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves, and willingness to learn, understand, and carry out regulations with integrity
  • Must understand and follow NBH's Drug and Alcohol Policy
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge in MS Office, and Google Suite programs

Salary Description
$17- $19 /hour
