Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals that specialize in serving those battling substance use disorders, specifically Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. Also specializing in those needing Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS).

Essential duties and responsibilities:


  • Fulfill the mental health component of DHS compliance requirements this includes Diagnostic Assessments (DA) and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical team. 
  • For eligible and interested clients, complete individual treatment plan within 30 days of the DA, or by the end of the second psychotherapy appointment (whichever occurs first)
  • Maintain a minimum of 23 direct client contact hours per week (for full time), or averaging at least 60% of available time as direct client contact. This will include a combination of 1:1, family therapy and programming or group psychotherapy, as well as facilitating co-occurring substance use groups.  
  • Complete all substance use documentation within 24 hours, and mental health documentation within 72 hours of rendering the service.  
  • Fulfill expectations on maintaining tracking document of clients.  
  • Attend weekly multidisciplinary clinical staffing meetings.  
  • Number of grievances/maltreatment reports is no greater than 1 per month.
  • Pass quarterly peer review internal documentation review process 


Requirements

  • Adhering to MN State Statutes, code of ethics, insurance requirements, and Northstar's policy and procedures.
  • Maintain resident/client records in accordance with Northstar's policy requirements.
  • Complete continuing education courses in current treatment concepts and methods as required by the State of Minnesota to maintain professional license.
  • Attend in-house training, all scheduled Northstar/Bridges staff meetings, and consultations.
  • Hold a caseload of clients, providing all components of a psychotherapeutic episode of care from DA through termination.
  • Coordinate care with all providers that are on client's care team.
  • Manage own clinical schedule. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
