Job description

Luck Stone's Fairfield Plant is seeking a Pit Loader Operator! Pit Loader Operators run machinery for the success of the aggregate extraction process. They are trained associates who report to a supervisor or foreman. Loader Operators skillfully navigate the pit and yard to ensure safe loading and unloading of rock into the primary crushers. Dependent upon heavy equipment experience, Loader Operators will need high to little supervision for accomplishing their essential functions depending upon experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


90% of job:

  • Operator of a Loader.
  • ย Responsible for the safe operations of assigned Loader.
  • Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on Loader.
  • Ensuring equipment is properly positioned for loading and unloading of water.
  • Performing other plant or pit maintenance duties as needed.
  • Promptly reporting all faults to the Plant Manager or Foreman.
  • Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.

10% of job:

  • Participate in meetings and training as directed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Certifications: General Mineral Miner
  • Work Experience: 0+ years of safe equipment operation

  • Ability to wear a respirator.
