Job description

LeMay/PCR, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a Non-Union Relief Driver in Frederickson, Washington.
This is a great opportunity for experienced CDL drivers seeking local, consistent routes, top-tier pay, and a company that values safety, stability, and a work-life balance.
As a Non-Union Relief Driver, you'll operate a garbage truck on assigned routes to safely collect and transport solid waste while performing physically demanding work and delivering excellent customer service.
Pay & Schedule
  • Starting Pay Range: $37.00 - $38.50 per hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 5:00 AM and continuing until the route is completed. Averaging approximately 45 hours per week, with occasional overtime and Saturday shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a garbage truck on local routes to collect solid waste
  • Follow route sheets and dispatcher instructions to service customers
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment
  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse
  • Perform physically demanding work, including loading/unloading waste without assistance
  • Interact courteously with customers and perform other related duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Effort
  • Requires extensive physical activity, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including frequent wet/humid conditions, fumes, and vibration
  • The work environment includes moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role

  • Basic knowledge of truck components for conducting pre- and post-trip inspections

This is a safety-sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
