Job description

Senior Sales Operations Manager

Padlet is building software for a good education. A good education is one that inspires curiosity, creativity, and community. Our software enables that through visual content creation and collaboration in millions of classrooms worldwide.

We're looking for a Senior Sales Operations Manager to run global sales operations across direct and reseller channels. You'll be part operator, part builder, part coach. You report to the Head of Global Sales and your remit is deliberately broad. If it touches revenue, operations, partnerships, or how the team grows, it's probably yours.

This is an in-person role in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full deal lifecycle: quotes, POs, invoicing, contracts, DPA negotiations, and close.
  • Manage a team of BDRs and Sales Operations, coach them, set the bar, and help them get better.
  • Build and maintain the tools and automations that keep sales running: HubSpot, Airtable, Stripe, Zapier, and whatever else needs to exist.
  • Work with Account Managers/Security Engineers/Legal to handle complex procurement from government agencies, school districts, and institutional buyers who need security reviews, compliance docs, and legal addendums.
  • Use AI to effectively and accurately query the data warehouse, build trackers and alerts, and surface insights that actually change how we sell.
  • Support customers and partners navigating student data privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Prioritize the team's workload, managing projects effectively across diverse time zones, currencies.

Qualifications

  • You like working hard.
  • You are honest.
  • You've run sales ops or revenue ops at a SaaS company and know what great looks like.
  • You know how to work with AI and agents, not just use them. You prompt well, build with them, wire them into real workflows, and treat them like a team member that's always on.
  • You're technical enough to understand SQL, Python, and debug scripts or code without waiting for engineering.
  • You are a problem solver, critical thinker, and resourceful by default. You are not afraid to say you don't know and pull in team mates from other teams when the problem calls for it.
  • You've managed people, not just managed up.
  • Bonus: You know how edtech buying works, including the bureaucratic gauntlet of government and school district procurement.

Joys of Sales Ops at Padlet

  • You'll help close deals with county governments, ministries, and everything in between.
  • You'll actually build things, not just manage spreadsheets or dashboards.
  • You'll learn and build on the go, surrounded by some of the best people you'll ever work with.
  • Your work directly touches revenue, and you'll see the impact.

Sorrows of Sales Ops at Padlet

  • You will get pulled into deals that are complicated in ways you did not anticipate.
  • Compliance requirements vary by country, state, and sometimes by the mood of whoever drafted the policy.
  • You will context-switch a lot. This is not a role with a tidy to-do list.

About Padlet

  • Vision : Every child in the world will grow up with Mickey Mouse and Padlet.
  • Product : We are making the default way of collecting and sharing thoughts on the Internet. People love the product.
  • Impact : We have 40 million users, making Padlet one of the most used apps on the planet.
  • Money : We are venture backed AND fiscally responsible. We are built to last one hundred years.
  • Badassery : We are only 70 odd people. That's over half a million active users per person.

Some People You'd Be Working With

  • Julia Carnes : Everybody agrees Julia is the friendliest person they've ever met. Until game night. Then God help them. Even State Farm denies coverage for any damage sustained during Catan with Julia Carnes. Our resident wordsmith, videosmith, and sometimes blacksmith.
  • Tosh Meyers : Loves all things Oregon Ducks and sports. He is the best golfer in the office, which explains the patience and care he takes to onboard our customers.
