Job description

Find your calling at Mercy! Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility. Position Details:

Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program
Other: The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job.
Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience: Two years customer service experience.

Physical Requirements:
* Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
* Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
* Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
