Job Title: RN - Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)

Location: Joplin, MO
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days - 36 Hours Weekly

Compensation:
  • Traveler Pay: $52-$55/hr ($1,794-$1,897/week) based on experience
  • Local Pay: $45-$48/hr ($1,552-$1,656/week) based on experience
Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) to provide high-quality nursing care for medically complex patients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing critical care patients, ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for medically complex LTAC patients
  • Monitor and manage ventilators, tracheostomies, IV drips, and other advanced patient care treatments
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient vital signs, laboratory results, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
  • Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes
Required Qualifications:Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active Missouri RN License or Compact RN License
  • Current AHA BLS Certification required
Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of LTAC nursing experience required
  • Experience caring for critically ill or medically complex patients preferred
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills
  • Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy patient care
