Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to manage the full revenue cycle process for our small operation. This role combines insurance verification, coding, billing, and accounts receivable management to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to services.
  • Accurately assign codes for procedures and diagnoses.
  • Prepare and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance payers.
  • Monitor claim status, follow up on denials, and process appeals.
  • Post payments, reconcile accounts, and manage aging reports.
  • Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plans.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer regulations.
  • Generate monthly billing and collection reports for management.
