Responsibilities- Maintains research laboratory and supervises several PhD students and visiting scientists.
- Mentors summer interns, masters, and PhD students, helping them design and perform projects/experiments.
- Orchestrates different collaborative projects; helping PhD students finish their degree earlier by six to nine months time frame.
- Supports time-sensitive scholarly research by authoring research projects, conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing manuscripts.
- Provides data analysis using SPSS, reviewed and edited materials for professional presentations; maintained strict adherence to confidentiality laws.
- Cleans and analyzes data using SAS, SPSS, and R software Write and contribute to publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Conducts research given rise to publications in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and grants from NIH and NSF.
- Conducts research and participated in data collection including assisting with protocol development, collecting samples, and assisting with reporting.
- Performs scientific and administrative reviews of journal articles and other scientific materials related to conducting and implementing two research projects.
- Summarizes, prepares, and presents results; mentors undergraduate students on internship projects, including experimental design and data analysis.
Additional InformationEmployees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in public health or social or natural science from an accredited institution Required
- Master's Degree in public health Preferred
- Experience in public health or patient services Preferred
- Proficiency with statistical analysis and epidemiology methods is highly Preferred
