Job description

Pharmacy Technician

Supports coordination of Pharmacy refill and medication request from patients and providers. Promotes and supports quality effectiveness of Pharmacy Services. Communicates pharmacy request according to guidelines. Evaluates and handles high call volume from patients and providers on the telephone and electronically. Exceptional computer skills with the ability to multi-task multiple systems. Determines appropriateness for medication refills.

High School Diploma or GED is required. Completed an ASHP accredited pharmacy technician-training program is preferred. Pharmacy Technician PTCB Certification preferred. Organization and accurate record keeping skills. Basic computer data entry skills preferred and typing approximately 30 wpm. Must be a Registered Technician with the State of Georgia.
