Job description

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) is a farmer-owned, dairy marketing cooperative owned by more than 12,500 family farmers. DFA Bruce is part of the Cheese, Taste and Flavors Division manufacturing dairy-based ingredients and innovative flavor solutions for customers in the food manufacturing and food service channels. DFA has the capability to produce a variety of high-quality products including cheese to custom formulations and trendsetting dairy ingredients. DFA Bruce has an immediate opening for Night Production Operator.No experience required; training provided. This position will work a 2-2-3 schedule from 4:30pm-4:30am. The position pay is $23.65/hour plus an additional $1.50 shift premium.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work in different areas of the plant handling ingredients and finished products by measuring, batching, mixing, bagging, organizing, and stacking.
  • Keep warehouse and production floor organized.
  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
  • Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive.
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
  • Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity.
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
