HIS International is a leading Children's sportswear company doing business in licensed and private label with ALL major retailers across the USA.
Job Description
  • Work with the Designer to create kids licensed apparel, for both boys and girls. Apparel categories include graphic tees, as well as key item fashion pieces such as dresses, cosplay hoodies, and sets.
  • Work collaboratively with the graphic artists and provide them with direction as needed.
  • Submit all designs to licensing to ensure everything is licensor approved before we start production
  • Lead handoff meetings with Product Development and Production
  • Create tech packs for sampling and production
  • Approve lab dips, strikeoffs, fabric qualities and samples
  • Collaborate with costing to ensure we're creating cost effective designs
  • Participate in fittings with the Tech Team
  • Create style numbers and finalize callouts on cads
  • Shop the market for the latest and greatest ideas and freshness
  • Find the white space, bring big ideas, and create trend driven designs

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience at an Assistant or Associate level
  • Strong working knowledge Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong sketching ability
  • Must have kids apparel experience - A background in both boys and girls design a plus
  • Experience designing licensed apparel preferred but not necessary (ex. Disney, Nickelodeon etc)
  • Must be located in NYC or willing to relocate, this position is on site
