Job description

Position SummaryConfigures, tests, documents, implements, and supports computer application systems by coordinating with vendor representatives, system users/clients, project team members, coworkers, and management. Participates in project teams, configuration, implementation, on-going maintenance and support for production application systems. Has general knowledge of project methodology, NextGen EPM & EHR, and system development lifecycle and works under direct supervision and performs tasks as assigned. The primary focus of this role is administration and support of the Company’s electronic health record, practice management application and associated systems.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works as a member of a team of internal resources and external vendors to select, configure and implement a packaged software solution for practice management and electronic medical records.
  • Assists with all aspects of the project including process mapping, software design and configuration, system testing, training development, conversion planning and site-by-site implementation.
  • Coordinates with others on project team to develop the project plan, including costs and departmental tasks.
  • Works with our technical staff to coordinate the installation of computer hardware and/or network connectivity as needed.
  • Works closely with physicians, center managers, medical assistants and others in our user community.
  • Develops high quality documentation such as system requirements, design specifications, user training plans, user guides, etc.
  • Functions as a key member of a multi-dimensional IS team.
  • Works closely with technical and non-technical staff to gather requirements
  • Coordinates and documents business and technical presentations
  • Serves as technical subject matter expert on projects and trains users and others throughout the organization.
  • Directly interface with external vendors and partners.
  • Responds to support tickets and resolves issues in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills and Education

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, SQL Developer, or Database Administrator.
  • SQL experience required including query development, stored procedures, and general database knowledge.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred, including knowledge of Electronic Health Record and Practice Management.
  • Experience in NextGen EPM and EHR preferred including file maintenance configuration, system administration, and template development.
  • Business Intelligence and reporting experience a plus.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • HL7 Interface administration.
  • Strong ability to research new technologies and solutions as well as changing business rules.
  • Tier 3 troubleshooting and issue resolution.
