Job description

Apple’s Original Content Legal team is looking for an exceptional attorney to provide studio relations strategy, production, and some marketing legal services. In this role, you will serve as legal counsel for a range of Apple’s original content offerings, including fitness, wellness, and emerging technologies. You’ll draft, negotiate, and review a variety of production and service agreements, help to establish legal policies, and advise on marketing aspects.
Description
The Original Content Legal team is responsible for the full range of legal work for the acquisition, production, marketing, and distribution of television and films, fitness content, and initiatives around new media innovation that merge technology with content. In this role, you will collaborate across Apple - partnering with the content, operations, product design, social media, creative, marketing, legal, business affairs, finance, production, and retail teams - to oversee the legal aspects of production, ecosystem activation, and marketing for original video content worldwide. You will also work on content strategy and policy development with the various legal teams that help support production holistically.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated adaptability to advise a variety of client teams driven by a diverse set of business objectives.
Comfort handling multiple projects on competing timelines.
Superior verbal and written communication and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Knowledge or curiosity to sharpen skills in AI and integration of technology with content.
Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams across varying types of content.
Experience with talent or influencer deals.
Minimum Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant experience.
Ideal candidate will have experience at a law firm, television network, streaming service, fitness content platform/provider and/or major/mini-major film studio/media company in most of the following areas: production; marketing; social media strategy and policy building; live events; and contract drafting and negotiation.
Experience with marketing and consumer protection laws, intellectual property legal issues, talent rights and restrictions, social media regulations and guidelines, and brand partnerships/sponsorships/endorsements.
Familiarity with tv/film/media production deal structures.
Ability to issue spot and advise on legal implications, while understanding and furthering business objectives.
Experience developing legal solutions to new and shifting territorial regulations.
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $194,100 and $292,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
