Job description

Overview
Maintain and support the organization's local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Microsoft Active Directory environment, Windows server infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 services. This includes administering Active Directory hierarchy, group and user policies, network infrastructure, virtual environments, Office 365 services, wired and wireless networks, and software deployment. Responsible for maintaining reliable, secure, and efficient IT systems while providing technical support and troubleshooting for end users. The Network & Systems Administrator will support IT operations across company locations in the United States and Europe and may be required to travel periodically to support infrastructure projects, system implementations, and business operations.
Position Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related hardware.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory services including DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and Group Policy.
  • Administer and maintain VMware virtual infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and availability; troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and connectivity issues.
  • Maintain server backup systems, replication processes, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Administer and support the Microsoft Teams Phone System, including user provisioning, call routing, auto attendants, and call queues.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID.
  • Assist with planning, testing, and implementing network, server, and software upgrades.
  • Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot endpoint devices, operating systems, software applications, patch management systems, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Work with business departments to implement appropriate access controls, security policies, and Active Directory group structures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PC, server, network, and application issues.
  • Maintain network documentation, system configurations, and asset inventories.
  • Support Internet connectivity, VPN infrastructure, remote access solutions, and associated security controls for users located in the United States and Europe.
  • Participate in IT projects involving infrastructure improvements, hardware refreshes, software deployments, and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Provide infrastructure support and coordination for international offices and remote employees, including occasional travel to domestic and European locations as business needs require.
  • Provide technical support for company users both on-site and remotely across North American and European business locations.
  • Provide support for Microsoft Teams Phone System, conferencing platforms, and related communication technologies
  • Travel domestically and internationally, including periodic travel to European facilities, for infrastructure upgrades, project implementations, equipment installations, training, and technical support as required.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
Education: AAS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
  • Minimum five years of experience in network administration or systems administration.
  • Experience with local area networks, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server operating systems, virtualization platforms, Office 365 administration, PC hardware and software, and enterprise applications
  • Experience administering DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, network security technologies, and remote access solutions.
  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams Phone, and cloud-based services preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or international environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Linux and SQL Server is preferred but not required.
