Join an enthusiastic team of engineers in Intel's Networking Solutions Group (NSG) focused on enabling next generation programmable Infrastructure Processing Units (IPUs) with our lead customers as part of the Customer Experience Support (CES) organization. Intel brings decades of leadership in networking, virtualization, packet processing, storage, and security to a new class of IPU products that accelerate host networking functions and support emerging use cases such as security, virtualization, storage, load balancing, and data path optimization.
Working closely with major cloud service providers and Intel development teams, you will help deliver customized IPU based solutions that enhance isolation, security, performance, and system management for our customers.
Projects and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to customers integrating Intel Ethernet products and technologies, ensuring high quality designs and accelerating design cycles and time to market.

  • Contribute across the full IPU lifecycle, including board and platform bring up, low-level device initialization, OS driver and kernel configuration, system management, feature enablement, use case testing, debugging, and verification.

  • Work closely with internal and external partners to understand use cases and requirements; collaborate across engineering, architecture, program management, and product management teams to drive end-to-end solution delivery across time zones.

  • Develop technical collaterals such as application notes, user guides, and white papers to support and simplify customer design with Intel IPU.

  • Evaluate, create, and enhance tools or software to improve efficiency, optimize product quality, and enhance performance.

  • Analyze customer designs and voice of customer feedback through data mining and provide insights to Engineering, and Planning teams to drive improvements for current and next generation products.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the skills to work independently across diverse stakeholders and manage priorities.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Computer engineering, Computer Science or related field.

6+ years of combined experience in the following:

  • Networking fundamentals-including NICs, hardware accelerators, switching and/or modern data center protocols.
  • NIC hardware and software stacks, including configuration, testing, and/or troubleshooting.
  • Linux distributions, PCIe devices, network management protocols and/or system debug.
  • Networking Solutions Engineering.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Ethernet products and ecosystems for enterprise and data centers, with experience collaborating with Cloud Service Providers and familiarity with data center workloads, RDMA, collectives, and AI benchmarking.
  • Understanding of secure boot flows and trusted computing environments.
  • Strong grasp of system software stacks, especially software-hardware interactions across platform firmware, device drivers, the Linux kernel, and user space application performance.
  • Proficiency with build and development tools and systems such as GCC, Git, GitHub, RPM, Make files, Shell Scripting, Docker, and Jenkins.
