Job Title: Network Support Specialist Department: Management Information Systems

Job Summary:
The Network Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and managing our IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include support, administration, and implementation of the company’s desktops, laptops, on-premises and cloud servers, applications, and cloud networking.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Support all email systems and support software.
· Support network infrastructure, WAN, LAN, Routers, Switches, APs, VPN, Firewalls.
· Support Server infrastructure, Rack Servers, SAN hardware, UPS systems.
· Ability to lead and execute technical or infrastructure upgrades from inception to successful deployment.
· Diagnosing Layer 1-3 issues, from physical cabling and transceivers to logical routing protocols.
· Investigate and resolve perceived system hardware and software malfunctions and contact appropriate supplier support personnel as required.
· Install new software releases, upgrade systems, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software-related problems.
· Install and support all endpoint protection software.
· Prepare and maintain required system documentation of all responsible business systems, application servers, and network configuration.
· Implement security systems that will provide detection, prevention, containment, and deterrence mechanisms to protect and maintain data integrity.
· Support compliance in the areas of system security, user access, resource access, and authentication.
· Determine software compatibility, equipment needs, required networking file storage needs, etc.
· Install, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues for new and existing workstations, printers, and peripherals.
· Serve as a technology support staff team member providing platform independent technical assistance.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
· Three or more years of experience in network support.
· Fortinet, HPE, Dell experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Comfortable working on a shop floor.
· Must be able to lift to fifty pounds at times.
