Network Operations Manager
The Network Operations Manager is a broadened role within Kimball Electronics Shared Services that reports to the Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations. This role is responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to the Network Operations Team in administration, management, and support of network hardware and software . We are a global company with a wide variety of business needs that require IT infrastructure support. To be successful, the candidate must possess a positive attitude, excellent English communication skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and projects in order to effectively transform business needs into technical solutions. Applicants must have strong English speaking skills and need to possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree in IT related field and/or 5+ years of practical work experience and applicable technical training/certifications.
Key Performance Objectives:
Short Term (0-6 months):
  • Learn KEI Guiding Principles, philosophies, and cultural attributes
  • Establish leadership relationships with Network Operations team
  • Develop technical relationships with key IT contacts
  • Build and maintain business relationships with Business Unit contacts
  • Familiarization with current KEI network environment and processes
  • Jumpstart and acclimate into ongoing Network Operations project work
  • Acclimate to KEI IT processes, monitoring, and systems
  • Integrate into Network Operations off hours production support rotation
  • Support business operations and initiatives as needed
  • Gain familiarity with IT standards and security practices, maintaining and providing feedback for necessary changes
  • Understand existing firewall policy implementation practices and procedures
  • Immediate involvement in global deployment of Cisco ISE
  • Support growth and discovery in public cloud infrastructure

Mid to Long Term (6+ months):
  • Identify opportunities to improve or automate existing KEI processes and systems
  • Lead projects for Network Operations team
  • Expand existing documentation of processes
  • Support Azure infrastructure migration strategy and datacenter exit
  • Identify industry trends that KEI could leverage
  • Support and implement scripts, processes, and solutions with a goal of building a Continuous Improvement environment
  • Expanded familiarity with Network environment and opportunities for improvement to align with KEI business needs including revision of network segmentation strategy and OT network support
  • Evaluate needs for tools to better manage, monitor and alert the enterprise network infrastructure
