IP Pathways is experiencing explosive company growth! In fact, we've doubled in size over the last couple of years and we'd like to consider you for a position on our growing team! The Network Implementation Engineer will be part of the IP Pathways engineering team and will participate in IP Pathways training and other company activities. This position must also provide a high level of professionalism and must possess excellent soft skills in addition to technical skills.

About the Role

IP Pathways is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to join ourManaged Services - Operations Team.

This team is responsible for implementing, onboarding, and migrating clients intoIP Pathways' managed and cloud service platforms - including cloud, disasterrecovery, backup, and managed infrastructure offerings. Beyond initialdeployment, the team provides the ongoing operational care and administration ofthese environments, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, and high-performingthrough continuous monitoring, management, and maintenance.


As a member of the team, you'll play a key role by:

  • Leading implementation, onboarding, and migration projects across hybrid andcloud environments.
  • Taking ownership of the ongoing monitoring, management, and administrationof client systems and services.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate, orchestrate, and optimize operationalprocesses for greater efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a network engineering resource as part of a project team, implementing solutions according to defined project timelines.
  • Configure, implement, and manage network infrastructure devices and related applications within client on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Provide written updates and summaries of project tasks completed, issues that arise, and progress of ongoing tasks.
  • Assist in the implementation of system-related solutions by providing connectivity of systems through networking solutions and configurations.
  • Perform site surveys to assess and validate client environments and/or effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Support the onboarding and management of client infrastructure acrosshybrid and cloud environments.
  • Assist in the onboarding and migration of clients into IP Pathways' AdaptiveCloud Cloud Infrastructure platform.
  • Develop and improve automation, orchestration, and monitoring processesto increase operational efficiency.
  • Document processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives toensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on implementation projects.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of network issues for customer environments.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to fellow engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Associate's degree or relevant certifications (such as CCNA) preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in network administration and engineering.
  • Experience with the following technologies is favored:
    • Wireless Technologies: Aruba, Meraki, Mikrotik
    • Routing/Switching: Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Meraki, Mikrotik
    • Firewalls: Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, FortiGate
  • Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus:
    • Protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Fibre Channel Zoning
    • Load Balancers: Kemp, F5, Peplink
    • Other Technologies: Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Cisco phone (CUCM)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional multitasking prowessmaintainingquality.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented disposition.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote monitoring tools, and managedservice delivery environments.
  • Proficiency in 1-2 scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python, is a huge plus.

Physical Abilities Required:

  • Ability to rack network infrastructure equipment and other datacenter equipment, as needed.
  • Ability to work on your feet or at a desk for extended periods of time, as needed.
