Job Description Network Engineer Location: Novi, MI (Hybrid) Duration: 3 Month Contract Overview: The Network Field Engineer provides support for LANs, WAN connections, and application performance troubleshooting. This individual is responsible for delivery of new functionality, day-to-day operations, and participating in break/fix activities. Key Accountabilities Monitor the day-to-day operations of the data network within his/her defined scope.

Provide technical assistance and resolution for network problems. Recommend and assist with the implementation of complex upgrades and improvements to the data network as assigned. Work with other infrastructure groups and end-users to identify and troubleshoot performance issues in an enterprise environment.

Monitor the installation, maintenance, and monitoring systems of the Clients' network. Participate in on-call rotation. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently.

Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex and/or cross-functional problems. Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems. Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures Must have reliable transportation as Field Engineer as they will travel between sites.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements EDUCATION REQUIRED Associate's degree or one to two (1-2) years of vocational technical training preferred. Minimum of 1-5 Years of Study towards a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 2-4 years of In-depth troubleshooting and understanding of practical networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, PC's and Printers.

Must have experience with CISCO installing/Configuring devices, LAN/WAN, Avaya, familiar with port activations, configuring switches update firm ware. TCP/ICP, LPS. routing protocols BGP, OSPF.

Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: CCNA is plus (if they do not have, they must be working towards it) Other Qualifications Preferred but not Required Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred. Can, without assistance, plan, implement, and/or engineer network solutions based upon Cisco equipment with intermediate to advanced complexity. Schedule: 9 - 5 day shift.

Will be on-call 5 days a week.
