Job description

The Opportunity:

The Sales Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the strategic growth initiatives & Sales team for the Tennessee River Area. This includes acting as a CRM (Salesforce.com) superuser, supporting the Sales team with onboarding new customers, and supporting the administrative tasks associated with new/existing customers.

The Sales Support Analyst will act as the liaison with Sales, Operations, Pricing, Customer Service, Design, & Finance to understand and sell open machine capacity, innovation, and value-added services to drive profitable sales growth.

  • Drive commercial excellence for Area focusing on strategic initiatives related to volume growth, margin enhancement, and profitability.
  • Support and optimize the efforts of the Sales Team to aggressively drive new business.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new business opportunities to successfully integrate them into the Tennessee River Area to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Support the sales team with establishing credit, approved terms, warehouse agreements, contract forms, aged inventory, and market pricing changes.
  • Support sales team with pipeline accuracy, customer presentations, sustainability requests, and other administrative request as needed.
  • Develop working relationships with multiple facilities/departments to create opportunities for additional revenue streams across the enterprise capabilities.

People and Culture

  • Bring Commercial Excellence best practices to our sales methodology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of the overall Sales strategy.
  • Assist with managing customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Salesforce.com (advanced proficiency preferred)
  • Microsoft Office Suite advanced skills
  • Experience with reporting/BI tools (QlikView, QlikCloud, Kiwi, or similar
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Nice to have: 5+ years business-to-business (B2B) Sales experience (Manufacturing/service industry preferred)
  • 5+ years of related experience in Customer Service and/or Customer Support functions
  • Ability to drive results influencing others within different functions.
  • Ability to engage successfully with internal & external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated sales competence and financial acumen.
