Position Summary

The Claims Specialist - Negotiations and Disbursement plays a vital role at GGRM Law Firm, focusing on maximizing client recovery through expert settlement negotiation and efficient disbursement processes. Working closely with Personal Injury Attorneys, this position manages case valuation, negotiation strategy, and settlement finalization while embodying GGRM's values. 

This specialized role is critical to maximizing client recovery through effective negotiation and efficient settlement processing. Success requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to achieving optimal results while maintaining GGRM's high standards of client service. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Settlement Negotiation & Strategy 

  • Lead settlement processes 
  • Prepare settlement evaluation summaries 
  • Assist with demand preparation 
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters 
  • Document all negotiation activities 
  • Track settlement offers and counteroffers 
  • Implement negotiation strategies 
  • Obtain policy limit information 
  • Report settlement progress to attorneys 
  • Identify cases requiring litigation referral 

Lien Resolution & Disbursement

  • Audit and negotiate subrogation liens 
  • Finalize settlement sheets 
  • Coordinate reduction requests 
  • Review and process disbursements 
  • Prepare release documents 
  • Process minor's compromise documentation 
  • Obtain proof of established blocked accounts 
  • Ensure proper settlement documentation 
  • Maintain accurate settlement records 
  • Monitor disbursement compliance 

Client Relations & Communication 

  • Complete monthly Meaningful Client Communication 
  • Serve as primary point of contact for settlement issues 
  • Explain settlement breakdowns to clients 
  • Guide clients through settlement process

  • Address client questions about disbursements

Salary Range

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Six months plaintiff personal injury experience 
  • Understanding of insurance practices 
  • Knowledge of settlement procedures 

Technical Skills
