Job description

EMPLOYER: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP
TITLE: Global Forecasting Leader
LOCATION: Wilmington, DE (A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)
HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hours/week)
DUTIES: Construct patient-based forecast models that leverage data inputs synthesized from a variety of primary and secondary sources and benchmarked against internal and external analogs. Champion the use of local customer insights in strategic and operational decisions across the business. Identify and prioritize enhancements and new analytics capabilities, and lead the development, deployment, and embedding of such capabilities across the organization. Access and evaluate appropriate information via a variety of internal and external tools and sources. Monitor the external environment to stay up to date on leading analytics and forecasting capabilities, both within and outside of pharma, which can be applied within the organization. Position supervises at least 2 Forecasting Analysts.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmaceutical Science or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the position offered, as a Forecasting Lead or a related position. Must have five (5) years of experience with all of the following: Building revenue forecast models utilizing epidemiology-based methodologies; Using modelling and simulation tools, and programming languages (Visual Basic, SQL, R, and Python) in forecasting; Analyzing medical claims and electronic health record databases, IQVIA Rx and sales data, Clarivate data to inform forecast models; Extracting and interpreting insights from large longitudinal data sources, including Claims, EMR, or other patient-level data sets; Constructing patient-based forecast models that leverage data inputs synthesized from a variety of primary and secondary sources, and benchmarked against internal and external analogs; Summarizing and presenting findings and assumptions to senior commercial and clinical leaders; and Leading the development of the revenue forecast.
The annual base salary (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $225,075.24 to $291,856.80. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
