Job Summary

The NCWorks Business Services Coordinator develops new, and encourages growth of, existing business relationships to promote economic mobility for multiple programs in NCWorks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Documents contacts with businesses and organizations and ensures regular follow-up.
  • Makes business to business contacts by telephone, email and in group networking settings to form partnerships which result in work sites.
  • Develops and executes contracts for incumbent worker, on-the-job training, and work-based learning programs.
  • Participates in networking events/ business groups to enhance connections and increase potential placement sites.
  • Regularly participates in Business Advisory Councils and assists with recruitment of new members.
  • Works in Microsoft Word/ other programs as needed to create instruction materials, graduation materials, presentation information, event flyers and invitations, etc.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ of successful business to business sales experience in a high-volume sales, required.
  • Experience in the staffing industry or job development experience in a Human Service agency, strongly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook and internet skills required. 
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%
