Position Summary:

This position is part of the NBA Social & Digital Content team which focuses onidentifying, creating,distributingand publishing content to the NBA's social and digital platforms and its many domestic and international partners throughout the world. As the demand for content on the NBA's social platforms continues to grow, this is your opportunity to grow with us in a fast-paced,innovativeand collaborative environment, reaching social followers around the world.

The ideal candidate is an active user of Meta platforms and products (Facebook, Instagram,Threads, etc.) andisan expert on the on-platform features, latesttrendsand how to create optimized content for these platforms. This candidate also has their finger on the pulse of the NBA and spends their free time immersing themselves in podcasts, messageboardsand consuming short and longformcontent about the NBA.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the NBA's Meta platformspublishing strategy, which includes:

  • OwnMetaplatformscontent strategy,publishing distribution, and platform performance across all NBA accounts.

  • Identifyand implement new Meta platform features, and opportunities that improve audience engagement and content reach.

  • Develop platform-specific playbooks and publishing frameworks for Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.

  • Mentor and develop platform publishers,establishingbest practices, workflows, and quality standards across the Meta ecosystem.

  • Analyze audience behavior, engagement trends, and platform performance to inform content strategy and optimization efforts.

  • Partner with Content Planning, Content Creation, and Real-Time Content Command teams to ensure Meta priorities are represented in content development and distribution strategies.

  • Presentand communicatestrategy and insightson a weekly and tentpole basis

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • 5+ years of experience publishing across social and/or digital platforms

  • Knowledge ofMeta platforms andcontent distribution(Facebook, Instagram,Threads, etc.) at an expert level

  • Knowledge of the NBA at an expert level, and is passionate about the storylines surroundings its players, coaches, teams, statistics,standingsand history of the league, as well as excellent understanding of basketball stats and analytics, the rules of the game and the history of the game

  • Experienceleading the creation ofbasketball content

  • Strong understanding of the NBA's social voice

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as this position may include working days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the NBA calendar

  • Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while handling critical tasks in a composed andtimelymanner
