Job description

Celeris Systems is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to support the U.S. Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport, Washington. This position supports Undersea Weapons Data Reduction and Analysis Processing, including evaluation and acceptance support for Heavyweight Torpedoes, Lightweight Torpedoes, and Special Project Weapons through build-up, component testing, and in-water testing. This role is technical in nature and supports the execution, maintenance, documentation, and analysis of data reduction processes used to evaluate Navy undersea weapons test data. The successful candidate will work with technical teams to process test data, maintain databases, support configuration management, and produce formal and ad hoc reports used for program decision-making. Responsibilities
โ€ข Support data reduction and analysis processing for undersea weapons test programs.
โ€ข Handle and analyze classified weapon system test data in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
โ€ข Support evaluation and acceptance activities for Heavyweight Torpedoes, Lightweight Torpedoes, and Special Project Weapons.
โ€ข Oversee the execution, maintenance, and operational support of data reduction software programs used for acoustic, underwater vehicle internal, range tracking, and range environmental test data.
โ€ข Perform acceptance testing on new or updated data reduction software programs prior to operational use.
โ€ข Create, maintain, and update associated technical documentation.
โ€ข Maintain and update weapon trend analysis databases.
โ€ข Design and produce formal and ad hoc reports addressing test program results, conclusions, and recommendations.
โ€ข Support configuration management, file maintenance, disk maintenance, and data organization activities.
โ€ข Coordinate with technical teams, program personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure test data is collected, processed, and reported accurately. Required Qualifications
โ€ข U.S. citizenship is required.
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent technical experience, military experience, or experience supporting test data analysis, data reduction, configuration management, or Navy weapons systems may be considered where permitted by contract requirements.
โ€ข Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Active Secret clearance preferred.
โ€ข Ability to handle classified weapon system test data.
โ€ข Ability to perform technical test data analysis.
โ€ข Ability to perform configuration management and file/disk maintenance.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Strong computer skills and ability to learn new tools and processes.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
โ€ข Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to follow company, customer, and regulatory policies. Desired Qualifications
โ€ข Familiarity with Heavyweight and/or Lightweight Torpedo components.
โ€ข Experience with MATLAB, Python, SIMDIS, or Visual Basic.
โ€ข Familiarity with data analysis and signal processing techniques.
โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
โ€ข Ability to meet high-volume requirements under strict deadlines.
โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
โ€ข Understanding of test systems, test data, or Navy weapons testing environments. Physical Requirements / Work Environment
โ€ข Ability to work in a busy and noisy environment.
โ€ข Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
โ€ข Ability to walk, stand, or sit in various positions for periods greater than 30 minutes.
โ€ข Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with assigned duties and/or pass any required medical examination related to the position.
Compensation and Benefits
