Job description

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Project Manager - Advanced Navigation Systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking a ProjectManager to lead the development and implementation of advanced maritimenavigation technologies. This role oversees high-complexity projects focused onthe design and integration of data distribution systems, geophysical databases,and advanced algorithms/processing frameworks. The successful candidate willmanage multi-disciplinary teams to increase system capabilities, ensuring thatnext-generation navigation solutions meet evolving U.S. Navy operationalrequirements for accuracy, reliability, and precision timing.
Advanced System Development & Management:
  • Coordinate the transition of research and development (R&D) initiatives into production-ready shipboard architectures.
  • Direct the development and lifecycle management of advanced data distribution systems and processing frameworks for maritime navigation.
  • Oversee the creation and integration of geophysical databases to enhance system-level positioning and navigation capabilities.
  • Manage the development and implementation of advanced algorithms for sensor fusion, signal processing, and navigation stability.
  • Identify and manage technical risks associated with new technologies and complex software/hardware interfaces.

Project Execution & Planning:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all milestones for advanced capability development are met.
  • Directly manage engineering teams in the execution of sprint cycles, technical reviews, and validation testing for advanced processing frameworks.
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and maturity of newly developed navigation algorithms.

Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for Government sponsors and subject matter experts regarding advanced navigation research and capability enhancements.
  • Present technical roadmaps, progress reports, and capability assessments to senior leadership and industrial partners.
  • Provide expert input to contract proposals, Statements of Work (SOW), and long-term technology insertion strategies.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, or highly technical managerial discipline.
Experience:
Project Manager I - Five years of professional experience in project management, with a background in complex software development or systems integration.
Project Manager II - Ten years of professional experience, including at least seven (7) years leading projects involving advanced algorithms, data distribution, or maritime sensors.
Project Manager III - Fifteen years of professional experience, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering large-scale, advanced technology systems for the U.S. Navy.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
