Job Duties
VMI is accepting applications for a part-time Visitor Services Technician for the VMI Museum System
• Provide tours, answers question and greets visitors into the Jackson House Museum.
• Work in the VMI Museum and or the Jackson House Museum store as a clerk greeting visitors, selling merchandise and tour tickets.
• Provide basic orientation for visitors.
• Restock merchandise as needed.
• Other duties as directed by full-time management staff.
Minimum Qualifications
• Neat, businesslike appearance.
• Alertness, sensitivity to the needs and interests of museum visitors and store customers.
• Promptness, reliability, maturity, and sound judgment.
• Ability to follow routine procedures and to enforce policies.
• Basic knowledge of computer and POS.
• Basic knowledge of handling and counting money
• Retail sales, customer service and or museum experience a plus but not required.
Additional Considerations
Looking for part-time staff to specifically work Sundays for 4- or 8-hour shifts and occasionally on Saturdays.
