Set in the heart in one of America’s most visited historic destinations, Taste of History LLC is excited to operate various kiosks throughout the National Mall. Food amp; Beverage Supervisors will support the site manager in leading teams and deliver a great guest experiences in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. In this role, Food amp; Beverage Supervisors support and motivate team members, ensure food safety and quality standards are met, and keep service running smoothly during busy events. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical training and support to less experienced staff and model professionalism with guests and other employees at all times
  • Ensure accuracy of all guest orders by maintaining expert knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) system(s)
  • Possess thorough and accurate knowledge of menu items and specials
  • Proficient and honest in cash handling and credit card transactions; Assist Kiosk Manager with timely and accurate sales and tips reports and cash/credit card receipts
  • Assist Kiosk Manager with coaching and developing of staff and maintain thorough knowledge of Company’s operating policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times regarding other staff
  • Ensure alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with Federal, State, Local regulations and Company procedures
  • Model teamwork and help Management meet business objectives
Position Requirements:
  • Possess ServSafe Certification in accordance with Company policy
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
  • Excellent communication skills and be a team player capable of encouraging others in a positive manner
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and handle tasks involving bending, twisting and squatting
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people
Rate of Pay - $22.00 - $23.00 / hour, based upon experience amp; skill.
Education and Experience:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum (1) year in a restaurant establishment
  • Resort/National Park Concession preferred
