Personal Lines Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to support and manage a portfolio of personal insurance clients. This role is responsible for marketing new and renewal business, responding to client inquiries, resolving service issues, and maintaining accurate account documentation. The ideal candidate has strong personal lines insurance knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a positive, solutions-oriented approach to client service. This position plays a key role in supporting client retention, strengthening carrier relationships, and delivering a responsive, high-quality client experience.

This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to one of our offices located in Cheshire, CT, Enfield, CT Kingston, NY, or Waterford, CT.

Professional Responsibilities
  • Market new and renewal personal lines accounts to secure appropriate insurance coverage based on client needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, explaining coverages and premiums, and providing timely service support.
  • Facilitate claims communication between clients, carriers, and adjusters to support a smooth claims experience.
  • Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to obtain quotes, binders, endorsements, and related policy documents.
  • Research and resolve moderate to complex service issues, including coverage questions, billing discrepancies, and policy concerns.
  • Maintain accurate account information in the agency management system, including policy details, client communications, and service activity.
  • Review policies, endorsements, contracts, certificates, and related documents for accuracy and compliance with client needs.
  • Stay current on industry developments, carrier underwriting appetites, pricing trends, and personal lines insurance products.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to support client satisfaction, retention, and overall account success.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in personal lines account management.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products, coverages, policy servicing, and carrier procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused and professional approach.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a solutions-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong relationship-building skills.
