Rothe Development, Inc. is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist to provide Graphic Designer for Publications, Information and Documentation Services (PIDS) at KSC in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. JOB LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, Florida (Onsite)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Graphic Designer will be designing Publications and Visual Presentations for Center-Wide Programs and Services from Concept, Design, Fabrication, and Installation. The team designs a wide spectrum of products ranging from simple, average, and complex artwork from special publications to wall mounted displays and murals. Services exclude multimedia web-based designs and 3-D modeling using the latest industry standard software Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office.
Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
EDUCATION:
BA/BS in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Art, Illustration or related field, plus 8 years related experience. Must hold and maintain a valid Florida REAL ID-compliant driver's license.
Must possess industry professional talent standards in art and graphic design and the ability to create products that satisfy the customer’s art and graphic design requirements. Full knowledge of industry methods and practices. Develop solutions to a variety of artistic problems. May refer to established methods, techniques, and standards. Supervision is minimal at this level with only general direction. Participates in determining objectives or assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Exerts influence the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Failure to achieve objectives could have a serious effect upon the organization. Must successfully complete and maintain company and customer training requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.
Preferred Qualifications:
Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
