Nature & Purpose of Position
The Department of Art is seeking applications for the position of Graphic Design Lab Assistant to begin working in the Fall 2026 semester.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining Graphic Design lab areas, including reorganizing, cleaning, planning, and setup as needed
  • Posting lab hours in clearly visible locations and updating as needed
  • Performing basic troubleshooting on Mac computers, including force quitting applications and force restarting computers if necessary
  • Assisting students with technical problems
  • Maintaining proficiency with software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and iMovie
  • Maintaining a high degree of knowledge in regard to lab printing equipment by studying resources/manuals for all printers
  • Ensuring students follow established lab rules
  • Reporting any concerns to the Graphic Design faculty coordinator immediately

Other Requirements for the Position
Required qualifications:
  • Must be a full time student
  • Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Must have an advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Must have a strong ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work on a Mac computer
  • Must be able to work collaboratively in team environment
  • An awareness of current best practices in creating accessible documents is a plus
