Deaconess Health System is seeking an Application Analyst II - MyChart to join our Digital Technology Services team. In this role, you will support, configure, and optimize Epic MyChart and related patient engagement applications that enhance the patient experience and improve access to care.
You will partner closely with clinical, operational, and technical teams to deliver solutions that support patient communication, digital access, and ambulatory workflows. This role requires a strong understanding of application support, workflow design, and system optimization within a healthcare environment.

Job Overview
  • Support and maintain Epic MyChart and related patient-facing applications
  • Configure and optimize workflows supporting patient engagement, scheduling, messaging, and digital access
  • Partner with clinical and operational teams to gather requirements and translate needs into system solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including escalations
  • Support system upgrades, testing, and enhancements
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve patient experience and system performance
  • Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and adherence to standards and best practices
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned applications

What You Will Do
  • Build and maintain MyChart functionality including patient messaging, scheduling, and portal features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues and provide escalation support
  • Perform workflow analysis and partner with stakeholders to improve system usability and efficiency
  • Support testing, upgrades, and new feature implementations
  • Collaborate with other DTS teams on integrations, interfaces, and data exchange
  • Create and maintain documentation, including workflows, build standards, and support materials
  • Follow change management and production support processes
  • Provide end-user support, education, and training as needed
  • Identify opportunities for system optimization and patient experience improvements

What You Will Need
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare applications or enterprise systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting application systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:
  • Experience supporting Epic MyChart or Epic Ambulatory applications
  • Epic certification in MyChart or related module (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience with healthcare workflows, especially patient access or ambulatory settings
  • Familiarity with system integrations, interfaces, and testing processes
  • Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or data analysis
