Job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst II - MyChart to join our Digital Technology Services (DTS) team. In this role, you will support, configure, and optimize Epic MyChart and related patient engagement applications that enhance the patient experience and improve access to care.
You will collaborate closely with clinical, operational, and technical teams to deliver solutions that support patient communication, digital access, scheduling, and ambulatory workflows. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for improving healthcare through technology.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support, maintain, and optimize Epic MyChart and related patient-facing applications
  • Configure workflows that support patient engagement, scheduling, messaging, and digital access initiatives
  • Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into effective system solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including complex escalations
  • Support system upgrades, testing activities, and enhancement implementations
  • Participate in projects that improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and system performance
  • Ensure data integrity, application reliability, and compliance with organizational standards and best practices
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned applications
  • Build and maintain MyChart functionality, including patient messaging, scheduling, and portal features
  • Analyze workflows and recommend system improvements that enhance usability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with DTS teams on integrations, interfaces, and data exchange processes
  • Create and maintain documentation, including workflows, build standards, and support materials
  • Follow established change management, testing, and production support procedures
  • Provide end-user support, education, and training as needed
  • Identify opportunities for application optimization and enhanced patient engagement
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three or more years of experience supporting healthcare applications or enterprise systems
  • Experience troubleshooting, supporting, and maintaining application systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to teamwork, customer service, and continuous improvement
Preferred
  • Experience supporting Epic MyChart or Epic Ambulatory applications
  • Epic MyChart certification or related Epic certification, or the ability to obtain certification
  • Experience with healthcare workflows, particularly patient access, ambulatory, or patient engagement processes
  • Knowledge of system integrations, interfaces, testing methodologies, and application lifecycle support
  • Experience with SQL, reporting tools, or data analysis
  • Previous experience working within a healthcare information technology environment
