Job description

The Music Box is seeking a fun and professional part-time staff member to help administer our music school in Lafayette, LA. This staff member will serve as the primary point of contact for our students, families, and teachers to ensure smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations. We are looking for somebody who's superb at handling details, a multitasker who is loyal, hardworking, always follows through, and almost never misses a deadline.
Required Skills:
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication talents.
  • Strong typing skills and advanced Mac computer proficiency.
  • Technology savvy.
  • Passion for working in a small business environment.
  • An organized "get it done" attitude.
  • HUGE BONUS: Background in or a passion for music!

Applicants must have availability within the provided schedule:
Mondays through Thursdays: 4pm-8pm
Alternating Saturdays: 9:30am-2pm
Day-To-Day:
The Front Desk Coordinator will participate as a key member of our client experience at The Music Box, juggling the day-to-day with warmth and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities include:
  • Corresponding with clients, potential clients, and internal team members via phone, text, email or in person.
  • Advocating for the business
  • Promoting each avenue of the company and spreading awareness to clients, potential clients and the community via networking and/or online presence.
  • Informatively assisting students and their families with any needs that may arise.
  • Maintaining student enrollment and contributing to ongoing sales efforts.
  • Managing student calendar changes.
  • Monitoring and supporting the teaching team in the quality and timely delivery of lessons.
  • Assisting with event advancement & execution
  • Leading facilities maintenance
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Pay is commensurate with experience, starting at $11/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 30 days on the job. Health benefit options are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
