About us
The Academy of Music is the largest professional music lesson studio in West Michigan. We offer private lessons for piano, voice & singing, electric & acoustic guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, drums, violin, viola and cello. In addition, we offer an introduction to musical theatre group class and a group piano lab. Nationally recognized for Music Academy Success and voted #1 Music Lesson Studio by Grand Rapids Kids (grkids.com).
The Academy of Music is hiring qualified music teachers for piano, voice, guitar, drums, and strings at both their Jenison and Grand Rapids locations. A college degree in music is NOT required. Performance and teaching experience is helpful. A warm and friendly personality is important.
Music Teacher Responsibilities:
  • teach weekly private music lessons year round
  • teach 1-2 group Music Workshops per year
  • prepare students for and attend annual winter and spring recitals
  • prepare recorded lessons or teach live video lessons when students request them
