Job Description We are seeking a Music Publishing Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in operations, data management, ownership research, and process automation and a proven ability to improve data accuracy, optimize workflows, and support partner operations. Responsibilities: Develop and implement scalable automation solutions and process optimizations to build future-ready systems.

Continuously learn, iterate on solutions, and drive operational improvements. Research and verify publishing ownership data using internal and third-party tools to close gaps and improve accuracy. Manage end-to-end publishing operations for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with partner requirements.

Assist with data ingestion, validation, and quality assurance across publishing systems. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve data discrepancies and operational issues. Monitor, analyze, and report on key operational metrics to identify trends and risks.

Maintain and improve documentation of processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in operations, data management, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Google Sheets or Excel and comfort with large datasets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

University degree required. Preferred Skills: Experience in music publishing operations or a similar role. Familiarity with music publishing data such as royalty data, metadata, and ownership or share information.

Experience researching publishing ownership information using third-party tools. Knowledge of data exchange processes and formats such as CWR and DDEX. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Experience with process automation tools or scripting such as Python or SQL. Knowledge of music rights management tools. Why BCforward?
